Attending the inaugural Netnocon really inspired me to embrace netnography in my PhD research. The world class speakers were so willing to talk with me during breaks so, I not only learnt from their sessions but from conversing with them as well. They were genuinely interested in helping me learn more so that I could become a better netnographer. It was a supportive conference that embraced early career researchers. I’m so glad I travelled halfway around the world to take part. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without the support of the scholarship. I recommend applying to all PhD students!

I was fortunate to be one of the scholarship recipients for the inaugural edition of NetnoCon, and I loved the experience! The scholarship was crucial for my attendance at the conference, as I was at the end of my Ph.D. program with no funds left to attend conferences.

NetnoCon did not disappoint! It has been my favorite conference so far. I got to meet people from diverse fields, both from academia and industry, and was truly exposed to how the methodology is used outside my area of research. The diversity of profiles was fantastic; I learned from established scholars and professionals and witnessed how students and new scholars are contributing to the evolution of Netnography. Last but not least, the atmosphere was very friendly and collegial, which made networking so much easier.
